Johnson transferring to Cincy
By Brendan Hall
Everett High athletic director and head football coach John DiBiaso confirmed this afternoon that one of his former players, former Boston College cornerback Isaac Johnson, is transferring to the University of Cincinnati.
Johnson, who won back-to-back Division 1 Super Bowl titles in 2006 and 2007 as the Crimson Tide's feature back, was granted his release from his scholarship at Boston College last week. He had not suited up for any of the Eagles' games so far this season, and had not been on the Chestnut Hill campus.
Johnson is expected to arrive in Cincinnati tomorrow, according to DiBiaso. This school year will count as his redshirt season, and he will have two years of eligibility left starting in the fall of 2011.
