Report: Stoughton's Calixte heading prep route
By Brendan Hall
Big news out of Stoughton tonight, as Stoughton High head boys basketball coach John Gallivan told the Stoughton Patch's Jeffrey Pickette tonight that Class of 2013 point guard Aaron Calixte will not be returning in the fall, instead heading to Lee Academy in Lee, Maine.
Along with fellow 2013 Marcus Middleton, Calixte formed one of the state's most dynamic backcourts, earning ESPN Boston MIAA All-State honors as he led the Black Knights to the Division 2 South title and an appearance on the TD Garden floor for the Eastern Mass. Championship. For his junior season, he averaged 19 points and six assists, and earned a place on ESPN Boston's Super Team.
"It was clear to most people that he was the heart and soul of the team," Gallivan told Pickette. "Not many guys can be the one to handle the ball and the bulk of the scoring at the same time. He did."
