Greely's Normandeau commits to UMaine

By Brendan Hall

Recent Greely High (Maine) graduate Jonah Normandeau has verbally committed to the University of Maine for the 2015 season, his father Mike told ESPNBoston.com this morning.

The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Normandeau will be doing a post-graduate season this year at Bridgton Academy, in North Bridgton, Maine, before arriving on the Orono, Maine campus in the fall of 2014. He was also considering interest from schools in the Atlantic 10, MAAC, Colonial Athletic, Patriot League and Northeast-10 Conferences before settling on Maine.

Normandeau went 14-1 with a 0.82 ERA in his career at Greely, with a perfect game and two no-hitters. He was the Western Maine Conference Player of the Year this past spring, and was also a three-time All-Conference.
