Duxbury reclaims girls' hockey No. 1 spot
By Scott Barboza
Once again, we have a new No. 1 atop our statewide girls' hockey Top 25 poll this week.
Duxbury returns to the top spot, which is occupied in the preseason. The Dragons are off to an unbeaten start at 7-0-1, ahead of Wednesday's battle against No. 9 Falmouth.

There were a couple notable upsets to Top 10 teams from last week and, as a result, the top end of the poll has a new look to it this week.
Reading bolted to No. 2 after toppling former No. 1 Woburn. It marks the highest-ever ranking for the Lady Rockets' program.
Meanwhile, Beverly/Danvers also hit its high-water mark in the rankings, checking in at No. 5 after making a statement with a 3-2 win over No. 6 St. Mary's of Lynn.
The final three spots in the poll were up for grabs this week, with three new squads occupying the tail end of the Top 25.
Chelmsford returned to the poll at No. 23, after beginning the season in the Top 25, along with No. 24 Sandwich.
Meanwhile, one of the great stories of the early season, the Whitman-Hanson/Pembroke co-op squad makes its initial Top 25 appearance at No. 25, having started the year with an 8-2-0 mark.
