After a two year hiatus, Jon Bartlett ’87 will return to the sidelines as head coach for the varsity football team. “We are pleased to welcome Jon Bartlett back as coach.” Principal Steve Hughes remarked on Monday, “When Jon stepped aside two years ago, we knew he would return to the sideline at some point, we just did not know when.”
The school was pleased with the football program under the leadership of Joe Gaff and had no intention of suggesting any changes. During the off-season, Coach Gaff suggested that Bartlett seriously consider returning as head coach. Jon’s transition back to the sideline comes after much reflection by all internal parties and his return will not impact the current staff. BC High is fortunate to have Coach Gaff’s continued leadership in the program, as he will once again be associate head coach. BC High is confident that the football program will continue to represent the community in a manner consistent with our Jesuit identity.
