Davis is scoring point guard. He is comfortable using ball screens to knock down the pull-up jump shot from 17 feet all the way out to 23 feet. If Davis is given space to operate, he will make good decisions with the basketball. Davis has good ball handling skills and passing ability when he driving the basketball.
Davis is an average athlete. He needs to work on his lateral quickness, so he can defend quicker point guards at the college level. His ability to score sometimes takes away from his teammates, and he needs to learn when to score and when to facilitate.
His ability to score and handle the basketball makes him an intriguing prospect at the point guard position. He is going to have to learn how to run a team and not just score from the point guard position to take his game to the next level.
