Lee Academy (Maine) head coach Andrew Papaefthemiou confirmed tonight that senior center Youssou Ndoye has verbally committed to St. Bonaventure University for the Class of 2012.

The 6-foot-9 Dakar, Senegal native averaged seven points, seven rebounds and two blocks this past season for the Pandas. Papaefthemiou said that Ndoye will sign his letter of intent tomorrow.

Scouts Inc's most recent evaluation on the intriguing import reads as follows:

Strengths:
Ndoye is a long and active five-man who makes his biggest impact on the defensive end of the floor where he blocks shots and alters others. He has good agility for a player his size with the sturdy frame to eventually have a very good body. He runs the floor very well, has pretty good hands, and a decent touch inside the paint.

Weaknesses:
Ndoye's offense is very limited and raw at the moment. He doesn't show any type of post-game outside of work-outs and isn't a threat to score unless at the rim. Athletically, he isn't quite as bouncy as he looks and lacks explosiveness around the rim as his reaction time can be a second or two behind the play.

Bottom Line:
Ndoye is an intriguing post prospect because of his long frame, high motor, and ability to impact the game at the defensive end of the floor but he is very raw and a few years away from making an offensive impact.
