The NHL Central Scouting bureau released its final rankings ahead of this year's draft on Wednesday.

And, as usual, there is a healthy contingent of locals representing high school, prep school and junior programs from across New England.

Topping the list again are a pair of superior college freshman, with BU forward and Hobey Baker finalist Jack Eichel (North Chelmsford, Mass.) and BC's Noah Hanifin (Norwood) remain No. 2 and No. 3, respectively, and have the opportunity to become the first pair of Massachusetts-born players taken in the top five of the draft.

The MIAA was well represented as well, with four current and/or former skaters among the list including Casey Fitzgerald (Malden Catholic), Erik Foley (Mansfield), Ryan Shea (BC High) and Luke Stevens (Duxbury).
