Aaliyah Robinson of New Haven, Conn., has committed to Iona College, according to her high-school coach, Michelle Cabaldon of Wilbur Cross (New Haven, Conn.).

The 5-foot-9 guard also considered Albany, Davidson, Delaware and Rhode Island.

An all-state performer in basketball and volleyball, Robinson chose Iona "because of the quality of education, fantastic coaching staff and team, proximity to home, and the school was the ideal size," Cabaldon said in an email message to ESPN HoopGurlz.

Robinson, who also was all-area and all-county for Wilbur Cross, played her club basketball for the CT Lady Blazers.
