Shepherd Hill's McKeon gets first D1 offer

Shepherd Hill junior tight end/defensive end Sean McKeon received his first Division 1 offer this morning, from Harvard University, the Rams' coaching staff told ESPNBoston.com today.

The 6-foot-5, 220-pound McKeon was named to ESPN Boston's annual All-State Team this past fall after helping the Rams capture the MIAA Division 4 Central Championship. On defense he teamed with Chris Lindstrom -- a Boston College signee, and ESPN Boston's Lineman of the Year -- to form one of the most feared defensive end duos, himself registering 57 tackles and 7.5 sacks.

On offense as a tight end, McKeon accounted for more than half of the Rams’ receiving totals in their vaunted "Double Wing" scheme, with 19 catches for 354 yards and three touchdowns. Those receiving totals included one of the most incredible catch-and-run touchdowns of the 2014 season, in the D4 Central Final against St. Peter-Marian:

Boston College, UMass, Duke, Bryant, Yale and Lehigh have also shown varying degrees of interest in McKeon.
