CM's O'Hear wins Hobey Baker Character award

Dan O’Hear, of Catholic Memorial hockey, was chosen as a 2011 Hobey Baker High School Character Award Recipient.

The award, presented annually by The Hobey Baker Memorial Foundation, is given to high school hockey players which display exemplary character, commitment, teamwork, persistence, selflessness, academic excellence and sportsmanship on their teams. This prestigious honor was given to 92 athletes this year.

The student-athletes were honored on Thursday, June 2nd at 4 PM at The Sports Museum, located at the TD Garden. The Boston Bruins Foundation and Warrior Hockey joined 1986 Hobey Baker Award recipient Scott Fusco in celebrating the recipients’ achievements. In addition to the speaking programs, award winners and their guests will enjoyed a guided tour of The Sports Museum, including a viewing of the Hobey Baker exhibit and trophy.
