NEW ORLEANS -- Patriots right guard Stephen Neal appeared shaken up early in the second quarter on a short run by Wes Welker.

Neal was attended to by trainers before walking off the field under his own power. He was replaced by Dan Connolly.

The Patriots, thin on the offensive line with Sebastian Vollmer and Rich Ohrnberger inactive, were already rotating at left tackle with Matt Light and Mark LeVoir.

Neal remained standing on the Patriots' sideline. The Patriots have not yet provided an injury update.

Neal left last week's game against the Jets with a head injury and was limited in practice this week.

(Update: Neal returned to right guard later in the second quarter).
