Starting to read up on Sunday's game between the Patriots and Panthers, this factoid caught the eye: This will mark the Panthers' first regular-season trip to Gillette Stadium.
They are the only NFL team yet to play a regular-season game at Gillette, which opened in 2002.
The Patriots are 26-4 against first-time visitors to Gillette, with the last loss coming Oct. 2, 2005 to the San Diego Chargers.
As for the Panthers, they played a preseason game at Gillette in 2002. Their last regular-season visit to town came in 1995, their inaugural season, when they posted a 20-17 win at Foxboro Stadium.
