Where do the Patriots rank in terms of big plays allowed, and big plays on offense?

ESPN.com reporter Mike Sando provides the answer on his NFC West blog. I was surprised at the results.

In terms of big plays allowed, the Patriots have the fifth fewest in the league (17). A big play is defined as a pass of 30 yards or more, or a run of 20 yards or more.

In terms of big plays on offense, the Patriots have the 12th most in the league (28). Their 23 pass plays of 30 yards or more are among the most in the NFL, but the five runs of 20-plus yards are near the bottom.
