Best choice for the Patriots at 22?

Wes Bunting of the National Football Post produces his second mock draft, and with the 22nd overall selection he once again slots California running back Jahvid Best to the Patriots. Bunting had the Patriots taking Best in his first mock draft as well.

"Best is the one guy everyone seems to be forgetting about," he writes. "However, he has the ability to be dynamic in the Patriots’ pass-first offense and should work out well at the combine."

ANALYSIS: With teams in Indianapolis for the NFL combine, Best's medical evaluation figures to be important as teams figure to be curious about the concussion he sustained. Even if he checks out, I'd be surprised if the Patriots go in that direction, especially given the way this scenario unfolds. In a draft deep with defensive linemen, the projection here is that the Patriots would be more likely to go in that direction.
