ESPN football analyst Tedy Bruschi assesses the offseason moves of the four AFC East teams (video below), while asking the question: "Have the Patriots gotten any better?"
"The New England Patriots have done a good job of signing back their own -- from Vince Wilfork, to Steve Neal, to Leigh Bodden," Bruschi says. "These were moves they had to make, but they didn't really get better."
In the end, Bruschi seems to like what the New York Jets have done best.
"They already have one of the best defenses in the league, and they added Antonio Cromartie, possibly giving them one of the best defenses again," he says. "This will give them a great unit that can possibly contend for the AFC East title. The Patriots have won this title regularly. Now, they have some serious competition."
As for the other teams in the division, Bruschi looks at the Buffalo Bills and notes that they haven't improved their primary weakness -- the offensive line. Meanwhile, he likes the addition of linebacker Karlos Dansby for the Miami Dolphins, but also points out that they lost outside linebacker Joey Porter and his pass-rushing presence.
