Steve Muench of ESPN's Scouts Inc., who has been providing valuable insight on this year's college prospects from a Patriots perspective on the blog, took a stab at predicting the team's first four picks in the NFL draft.

This is what he came up with (Insider content), which assumes the Patriots stay in their assigned spots:

22. OLB/DE Everson Griffen (Southern California)
44. TE Rob Gronkowski (Arizona)
47. WR Damian Williams (Southern California)
53. ILB Sean Lee (Penn State)

At this time next week, the first round will have concluded and all teams will be back in their offices restacking their board. That's one aspect that makes this year's draft unique.

Last month, that dynamic -- and "The Shonn Greene Effect" -- was explored in a story on ESPNBoston.com.
