In a lighthearted story, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick put his "hoodie" support behind Tampa Bay Rays manager Joe Maddon, the Tampa Tribune reports.
Maddon had been told by Major League Baseball that he can no longer wear a hoodie in the dugout in cool-weather games, a decision which was later reversed.
As it was all unfolding, Belichick, whose trademark "hoodie" has become part of what fans identity him with, jumped into the fray. He sent Maddon a gray "hoodie" with his initials and a typed note that read: "From one hoodie wearer to another, I thought I'd pass along my complete support with something to wear."
