Aaron Schatz, the president of Football Outsiders, has penned a piece for ESPN Insider on the best and worst tackling players in the NFL. On his own Web site, he included team information for missed tackles.

The Patriots, based on Football Outsiders charting, ranked as the 11th worst tackling defense in the NFL.

The offense ranked tied for seventh best in terms of breaking tackles.

Bill Belichick has touched on tackling in the past and how building a fundamental base in training camp is an important aspect to becoming a better tackling team. Once a team gets into the regular season, the number of full-pads practices decreases, which means the opportunities to practice tackling are diminished.

If Belichick's statistics on missed tackles are close to Football Outsiders', perhaps he will tweak the team's training camp regimen.
