Former Patriots Isaiah Stanback (receiver) and Bruce Davis (linebacker) were claimed on waivers today -- with Stanback awarded to the Seattle Seahawks and Davis to the Denver Broncos.
Although the players were waived late last week, the waiver claims weren't awarded until today because the league office had been closed for Memorial Day weekend.
For Stanback, the move to Seattle is a return to where he played in college at Washington. For Davis, he'll be in a similar program as New England under Broncos coach Josh McDaniels.
One line of thinking from Stanback and Davis being claimed is that it reflects well on the depth of the Patriots' roster as both were considered longshots for a roster spot.
