One of the themes of training camp in 2009 was how Bill Belichick worked the team especially hard in the opening week. Players opened 2009 with eight straight days of double sessions.
"I haven't had this many double sessions since college," center Dan Koppen joked at the time.
So when the first part of this year's training camp schedule was released by the Patriots, it caught the eye that the first four days were double sessions, while the fifth day had a single practice listed.
But it turns out the fifth day this year (Monday Aug. 2) is also a double session, with the second practice the annual season-ticket holder in-stadium event at night.
