One of the most straight-forward things that Bill Belichick said this offseason came the day after the Patriots' humiliating playoff loss to the Ravens.

On that day, he talked about how the offseason is "a lot of hot air" and that the mourning period from the loss would continue until the first day of training camp.

It's been a long 200 days, but the start of training camp has arrived. The Patriots' first practice is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday.

What is the theme for this season?

That question is explored in a story now posted on ESPNBoston.com.
