FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- When Patriots coach Bill Belichick arrived at the podium for his afternoon news conference, offensive lineman Quinn Ojinnaka had yet to pass his physical. So in Belichick's mind, the team's trade with the Falcons for Ojinnaka had yet to be completed.
"I don't think right now is the time to comment on somebody else's players," he said.
Shortly after Belichick concluded his meeting with the press, word came that Ojinnaka had passed his physical so the team officially announced the transaction -- the team acquiring Ojinnaka for an undisclosed future draft choice.
To make room for Ojinnaka, the Patriots waived rookie cornerback Terrence Johnson, who was a longshot to make the final roster.
