ANALYSIS: The running back rotation stood out, with Green-Ellis getting more work than Taylor as the No. 2 option ahead of Sammy Morris. Green-Ellis was the primary back on the team’s first touchdown drive, with Faulk mixed in. Although it was hard to tell based on their limited possessions, the Patriots seemed to be adopting a series-by-series rotation between Taylor and Green-Ellis when utlizing the two-tight end set. ... Overall, the playtime stats reflect how the Patriots attempted to be balanced between their multiple tight end groupings and the three-receiver grouping.
