Patriots acquire Branch in trade

The Patriots acquired receiver Deion Branch in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks for a fourth-round draft choice, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reports.

The Patriots had two fourth-round picks in 2011, one of which was acquired from Denver in exchange for running back Laurence Maroney.

Branch joins Wes Welker, Brandon Tate, Julian Edelman, Taylor Price and Matthew Slater on the receiver depth chart.
