When cornerback Kyle Arrington first made his mark on the Patriots in 2009, it was on special teams. Although he played only half the season, he ended up tied for the team-lead in special teams at the end of the year.
In part because of his increased role on defense in 2010, Arrington had been quieter on special teams this season.
Arrington finished with three solo special-teams tackles, all against dangerous Chargers kickoff returner Darren Sproles. That pushes him up to third on the special teams tackle leaderboard:
LB Tracy White -- 8 tackles (5 solo, 3 assisted)
WR Matthew Slater -- 6 tackles (3 solo, 3 assisted)
CB Kyle Arrington -- 5 tackles (5 solo, 0 assisted)
RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis -- 3 tackles (2 solo, 1 assisted)
CB Devin McCourty -- 3 tackles (3 solo, 0 assisted)
OLB Rob Ninkovich -- 3 tackles (1 solo, 2 assisted)
