Spikes moves into 2nd on tackle chart

With the Patriots spending a good portion of Sunday's win over the Vikings in their base 3-4 defense, it had rookie inside linebacker Brandon Spikes on the field for extended playing time.

Spikes was credited by the team's coaches with 10 tackles.

With safety Patrick Chung missing the game with a knee injury, it moves Spikes into second place on the team's tackle leaderboard:

ILB Brandon Spikes -- 46 tackles (27 solo, 19 assisted)
