FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- When players meet for the first time after a victory, head coach Bill Belichick announces the team's practice players of the week. What usually results is an applause from players.

"To me, it means a lot," said practice squad safety Ross Ventrone, who earned the honor this week along with quarterback Brian Hoyer, receiver Taylor Price and linebacker Pierre Woods. "Everybody is trying to get that every week."

Practice players of the week are those who the coaching staff feel best prepared the team in the days leading up to a victory. They wear black jerseys throughout the following week of practice.

Ventrone's honor this week is his third of the season, and his third in the last three wins.
