FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- In an interview yesterday on WEEI sports radio in Boston, ESPN NFL analyst and former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cris Carter spoke about the differences between current Patriots wide receiver Deion Branch and former Patriots receiver Randy Moss.
“Deion disappears too much against regular corners. He disappears in the game,” Carter said. “He’s just a guy. Great players, they don’t get hurt as much as the other players. There’s a difference between great ones and good ones and average ones.”
On Saturday, Branch was asked in the Patriots locker room about his reaction to the comments.
“Whatever he said, that’s cool,” Branch said. “I don’t know what happened.”
When a reporter told Branch more of what Carter had said, Branch laughed it off. “That’s cool. I don’t have any reaction to that,” he said.
