A look at the snaps played by offensive skill-position players in the Patriots' 45-3 win over the Jets, while looking at possible trends in the weeks to come (as charted in press box, small margin for error):

TE Rob Gronkowski -- 52 of 61
WR Wes Welker -- 45 of 61
WR Deion Branch -- 43 of 61
TE Alge Crumpler -- 36 of 61
RB BenJarvus Green-Ellis -- 31 of 61
TE Aaron Hernandez -- 28 of 61
RB Danny Woodhead -- 26 of 61
WR Brandon Tate -- 21 of 61
OL/FB Dan Connolly -- 9 of 61
OL/TE Quinn Ojinnaka -- 4 of 61
RB Fred Taylor -- 4 of 61
WR Julian Edelman -- 3 of 61
FB Sammy Morris -- 3 of 61

(Includes defensive pass interference, offensive pass interference and 12-men-on-the-field penalties.)

ANALYSIS: Rob Gronkowski's spot atop the playtime chart reflects his rise in recent weeks, with the coaching staff having confidence in him in multiple areas -- pass blocker, run blocker, pass catcher. He's the combination tight end Bill Belichick covets. ... If making a depth chart at receiver, Wes Welker should be in the No. 1 spot as he is most often the single receiver when the Patriots go to a three-tight end package. Deion Branch is the No. 2, followed by Brandon Tate and Julian Edelman. ... With right guard Dan Connolly moving to fullback for nine snaps, the Patriots brought Ryan Wendell into the game to fill Connolly's spot at right guard. ... Quinn Ojinnaka's snaps came as a third tight end in a power package, as he replaced Aaron Hernandez for more bulk up front in those run-based packages. ... BenJarvus Green-Ellis has emerged as the lead back, and with the way he's running, it's going to be hard for Fred Taylor to break through. Taylor's snaps all came on the final drive.
