Nolan Nawrocki of Pro Football Weekly, one of the best media analysts when it comes to the draft, produces his initial first-round mock draft. It has an offensive focus for the Patriots.

Nawrocki gives the Patriots running back Mark Ingram (Alabama) with the No. 17 selection, and offensive lineman Clint Boling (Georgia) with the No. 28 selection.

ANALYSIS: While the Patriots have needs on defense, they could still fill them with their two picks apiece in the second and third round. Ingram would join BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Danny Woodhead to form one of the NFL's better 1-2-3 combinations at running back, adding another dimension to the Patriots offense. When it comes to running backs, teams have proven that good value can be found later, so that will be something the Patriots will have to weigh in this scenario. Meanwhile, the versatile Boling would likely start immediately at guard, filling a significant need. He has also played right tackle and left tackle. With 47 career starts, he's played a lot of football, making the evaluation a bit easier for pro scouts.
