Westhoff and the Pats-Jets rivalry

No reminders were needed, but just in case, Jets special teams coach Mike Westhoff served one up when it comes to the rivalry between the Patriots and Jets.

Westhoff is speaking to teens at a drug rehab center in New Jersey today, and according to the Twitter account of Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com, he said of the Patriots, "[I'd] rather beat them than go to heaven." Cimini later wrote a full account of Westhoff's comments.

Good stuff.

It falls in line with something Bill Belichick said at the Pro Bowl when speaking with a member of the military.

"It's a tough way when you go 14-2 to end up -- one tough game and you lose to the Jets, of all teams," Belichick said in comments aired on Patriots All-Access. "It's like losing to Army, you know?"

This is one of the top things I'd miss if there is no football in 2011.
