Robert Kraft will not attend meetings

NEW ORLEANS -- Patriots owner Robert Kraft will not attend the NFL's annual meeting because of a "private family medical matter", according to the team.

Kraft is one of the NFL's more influential owners, serving on the 10-member Management Council Executive Committee which plays a leading role in the NFL's labor battle on the owners' side.

Patriots team president Jonathan Kraft, who is a regular at NFL meetings, is scheduled to arrive Sunday night.
