More on Pats & drafting running backs

Earlier today, when pointing out new mock drafts from ESPN analyst Mel Kiper and Scouts Inc's Todd McShay, the running back position was highlighted. Both Kiper and McShay envision the Patriots drafting a running back for the first time since 2007, and the possibility of the team drafting two was also explored.

On McShay's initial mock draft, two running backs were tabbed for the Patriots, although that was a result of a loading error.

At No. 60, McShay envisions a scenario in which the Patriots select Alabama offensive tackle James Carpenter, not running back Daniel Thomas.

"2 RBs in 2 rounds = 2 much," McShay explained on Twitter.
