Twitter, its impact, & the Patriots

On Thursday, ESPN's "Outside the Lines" program detailed the interesting topic of Twitter and its impact in sports. This comes after Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall created a stir with remarks on Twitter regarding Osama bin Laden, and lost an endorsement deal with Champion because of it.

Boston-based Michael Smith hosted the show, which interviewed players, agents and media members.

The discussion highlighted the different aspects of how Twitter is shaping the way athletes are perceived, and how media members cover remarks that athletes make on Twitter. Fascinating stuff, from this view, and a lot to be learned.
