Pat Kirwan, who writes for NFL.com and hosts a daily show on Sirius XM NFL Radio, continues his series of ranking different positions in the NFL. His focus today is the offensive line, and Logan Mankins is the lone Patriot in the top 25.

Mankins falls in "Group C" of Kirwan's analysis, putting him in the 10-15 range of best offensive linemen in the game.

"He held out last year and only played in 9 games but made the Pro Bowl anyway," Kirwan writes. "He never missed a start in the five years prior to the holdout. He has given up just 16 sacks in 89 starts. He is a complete player, and it's obvious why the Patriots have franchise tagged him."

Next to each player, Kirwan notes whether he is on the rise, maintaining his status, or on the decline. He puts Mankins in the "maintaining his status" category.

At the end of the piece, Kirwan includes third-year right tackle Sebastian Vollmer as a player who figures to crack the list in 2012.
