With most indications pointing to safety Jarrad Page being able to hit the unrestricted free agency market under the terms of the proposed collective bargaining agreement being presented to owners on Tuesday in Chicago, the Patriots' personnel situation at safety now becomes less settled.
The following players are under contract for 2011:
If Page does not return to the team, the Patriots will lose a member of the safety rotation who saw 16.9 percent of snaps last season, recording two interceptions and 13 tackles on defense, as well as six special teams tackles.
Page's potential departure would give an opportunity for Sergio Brown to increase his playing time after seeing 7.8 percent of snaps last season as an undrafted rookie free agent.
