The Patriots continue to kick the tires of some free-agent defensive linemen/outside linebackers.

After reportedly working out defensive lineman Tommie Harris earlier this week, and working out defensive end/outside linebacker Matt Roth today, the club has plans to entertain veteran defensive lineman Raheem Brock on Wednesday, a source confirms.

The 33-year-old Brock has played for the Colts (2002-2009) and Seahawks (2010). At 6-foot-4, 274 pounds, he's spent his career playing in 4-3 defenses, and he had a career-high nine sacks in a reserve role last season.

The Patriots have been utilizing a four-man line in training camp, featuring Albert Haynesworth and Vince Wilfork at tackle. Brock would project to end, where the Patriots have Eric Moore and Jermaine Cunningham atop the depth chart and might be looking for another layer of depth.

Brock's upcoming visit was first reported by Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe.
