Projecting the 53-man roster, Part III

August, 26, 2011
AM ET's third roster projection is now posted on the site, and the toughest position to analyze is receiver. We both have the Patriots keeping six pure receivers, with a seventh in the form of special teamer Matthew Slater.

When considering that tight end Aaron Hernandez is receiver-like in many ways, is that a luxury the Patriots can afford?

I've been going back and forth on that.

Here are the players that showed up on just one of the two projections, meaning there was a difference in opinion:

DE Mark Anderson
CB Darius Butler
LB Tracy White
DT Mike Wright

The biggest move was made by rookie free agent tight end Will Yeatman, who leapfrogs fifth-round pick Lee Smith for a roster spot in both projections.
