FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots fielded a nearly full squad for Wednesday afternoon's practice, with offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer the only player missing during the media access period. The session was held in full pads on a drizzly Gillette Stadium game field.

Seven players who were not in action for Monday's practice were in uniform for Wednesday's session. This list includes defensive end Jermaine Cunningham, rookie running back Stevan Ridley, and linebacker Jeff Tarpinian, who had each missed the last several weeks of practice.

Also returning were rookie running back Shane Vereen, wide receiver Taylor Price, cornerback Kyle Arrington, and defensive end Mark Anderson.

The Patriots will release their first injury report of the week on Thursday afternoon, in advance of their Monday Night Football opener in Miami on Sept. 12.
