FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth was not spotted at the media access portion of Patriots practice on Thursday afternoon, joining five other players absent for the workout, which was held in shorts and light shoulder pads and began under steady rain.
Haynesworth, who practiced Wednesday and was not listed on the most recent injury report, briefly left Sunday's game and was seen with a trainer stretching his groin/leg area on the sideline before returning to action. His status should become clear when the team releases their next injury report at 4 p.m.
Returning to action after not having practiced on Wednesday was cornerback Kyle Arrington. He suffered a concussion in Sunday's game against the Chargers.
Tight end Dan Gronkowski, who was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice with a hamstring injury, was not spotted on the field on Thursday. Also remaining out for a second straight practice were offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back), tight end Aaron Hernandez (knee), defensive lineman Mike Wright (concussion), and safety Patrick Chung (hand).
