Four defensive backs -- corners Kyle Arrington (chest), Leigh Bodden (groin), and Ras-I Dowling (hip), and safety Patrick Chung (hand) -- are among nine players listed as questionable on the Patriots' final participation report of the week.

Tight end Aaron Hernandez (knee), offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back), and defensive lineman Mike Wright (concussion) are all out for New England. Defensive linemen Albert Haynesworth (back) and Shaun Ellis (knee) are also deemed questionable.

For the second straight week, the Patriots could be left thin by injuries on defense. Neither Dowling, Chung, or Haynesworth played against Buffalo, while Arrington (previously concussion) and Bodden (previously hand) emerged with new maladies.

The Patriots re-signed veteran defensive lineman Gerard Warren earlier this week, while depth corners like Antwaun Molden and Phillip Adams will have to be ready for potential action. New England also removed punter Zoltan Mesko (knee), guard Logan Mankins (illness), and linebacker Jerod Mayo (thigh) from the report, indicating they are ready for action.

New England flies to Oakland Friday night and further downgrades could be made based on who makes the trip. Here's Friday's report:
