FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Quick hits from the media-access period in the Patriots' locker room:
1. A quiet day in the room (which was probably to be expected after Wednesday's craziness). Players drawing large media crowds included tight ends Aaron Hernandez and Rob Gronkowski, and linebacker Gary Guyton.
2. Running back Danny Woodhead, who injured his ankle in Sunday's win over the Raiders and did not practice Wednesday, walked through the room briefly and did not display a noticeable limp.
3. Josh Victorian, the practice squad defensive back waived Wednesday when the team added cornerback Sterling Moore, had a black practice player of the week jersey hanging in his locker. The Patriots hand out those jerseys after each win to the players that aided the preparation process. Given how fluid the practice squad roster can be, maybe we see Victorian back later this season.
4. Aaron Hernandez, wearing a protective brace over his left knee, stopped by his locker and gave a quick (and hilarious) update on his health. After a few growls (think the sound someone makes during a morning stretch), he noted, "I feel pretty good. I’m just trying to get healthy, take it day-by-day."
