The Patriots made their third roster move in as many days on Saturday, releasing defensive tackle Marcus Harrison and promoting cornerback Sterling Moore from the practice squad, according to a league source. The team later confirmed the transaction.

Harrison had signed with the team on Friday, and was one of five defensive tackles to practice with the team, including Albert Haynesworth and Kyle Love, who are both questionable for Sunday's game with back injuries. Harrison's release would seem to be a positive sign for the health of both players.

An undrafted rookie out of SMU, Moore was signed by the Patriots last week. He brings the team back to having six cornerbacks on the 53-man roster, replacing Phillip Adams, who was released on Friday to make room for Harrison.

This appears to be a move made with special teams in mind, with Moore likely to be active on Sunday in that role. The team also listed cornerbacks Leigh Bodden (thumb) and Ras-I Dowling (hip) as questionable for Sunday's game.
