Moore was signed off the practice squad Saturday to add depth at cornerback, where injuries left the team thin. He played solely on special teams (punt return unit).
Ventrone has bounced between the practice squad and active roster, filling a void on special teams (playing on the Big 4 units) and adding safety depth on gamedays.
The Patriots already have one open spot on their practice squad from Moore's promotion. It wouldn't be a surprise to see both players back with the team, but the prospects for improved health following the bye week made their spots on the 53-man roster less integral.
Both are practice squad eligible.
