Power rankings: Patriots plummet

The New England Patriots plummeted seven spots to No. 12 in the latest edition of ESPN.com's NFL power rankings. The ranking is New England's lowest berth since dipping to No. 17 in Week 7 of the 2008 (Brady injured) season.

The Patriots find themselves behind five AFC rivals, including the Ravens (3), Steelers (5), Texans (8), and Bengals (10). The rival Jets, next up on Sunday night, are one spot ahead at No. 11.

Notes AFC East bogger and power ranking panelist James Walker: "The Patriots are in danger of losing three straight for the first time since 2002."
