EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- NBC is reporting that rookie Sterling Moore, who was promoted from the practice squad this week, will start tonight at safety.
Moore was primarily a cornerback at SMU, but has been working at safety in practice. With Patrick Chung out with a right foot injury, it opens the door for Moore.
"He's a tremendous athlete," fellow safety James Ihedigbo said this week. "This is a guy you can put at corner, slot, safety, and he's a great cover guy, a very intelligent player for being such a young guy. We have all the confidence that he's going to step in and fill the role that we need him to."
