FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- The Patriots were without linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee) and offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (back/ankle) for their second and final full practice of the week on Friday.
Their absences make it unlikely that either player will suit up on Sunday against the Colts. Spikes, however, could be closer to a return than in weeks past, appearing at the team's walkthrough on Wednesday.
If Vollmer is unable to play, the Patriots will likely turn to either Nate Solder or Marcus Cannon to start at right tackle.
The game status for both players will be announced when the injury report is released at 4 p.m. Friday.
Players were again in light shoulder pads to wrap up the week of practice.
