A view of Gillette Stadium before a rare 1 p.m. game this season. FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Welcome to Gillette Stadium, where the New England Patriots host the Indianapolis Colts (1 p.m. ET):

Weather conditions. Another nice day for football, with temperatures expected in the high 40s and low 50s by kickoffs. No precipitation and light winds. For Dec. 4 in New England, that's about as good as it gets (Weather.com link).

Winter is in forecast. Veteran referee Ron Winter has been assigned today's game. This is Winter's first Patriots game of the season.

Patriots inactives. The Patriots have already ruled offensive tackle Sebastian Vollmer (foot/back) out for today's game. The club must deactivate six more players by 11:30 a.m. ET. Linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee) is expected to be one of them.

Mayo on the Gameday program.Colts inactives. The Colts have already ruled out quarterback Peyton Manning, tight ends Dallas Clark and Brody Eldridge, fullback Ryan Mahaffey and defensive tackle Drake Nevis. They have two more players to deactivate.

Polian and scouts in the house. Colts vice chairman Bill Polian has been assigned a seat in the press box, along with scouts from the Redskins and Ravens (the next opponents for the Patriots and Colts).

Mayo on GameDay cover. Linebacker Jerod Mayo, one of the Patriots' captains, is on the cover of the GameDay program being sold at Gillette Stadium today.

Marv Albert/Rich Gannon on the call. Today's game will be broadcast by CBS, with Marv Albert (play by play) and Rich Gannon (analysis) on the call.

National anthem/Color guard. Martin Sexton will sing the national anthem. The colors will be presented by USS Juniper of the US Coast Guard based out of Newport, R.I.
