DENVER -- Welcome to Sports Authority Field at Mile High, where the Patriots visit the Broncos today (4:15 p.m. ET):

Weather conditions. It is a beautiful day, sunny, with temperatures expected to be in the low 50s at kickoff. Wind is not likely to be a factor (Weather.com link).

Overflowing media crowd. The Broncos have issued approximately 1,300 media credentials for today's game. That's the highest for a Broncos regular-season game since 2001.

Sign outside visitors' locker room. A wall is painted immediately outside the visitors' locker room here, and it reads "Elevation 5280 ft. above sea level", with a message "Welcome to Sports Authority Field at Mile High." Some psychological games at play.

Carey gets the call. Referee Mike Carey's crew has been assigned to work today's game.

Television information. The game will be broadcast on CBS, with Jim Nantz (play by play) and Phil Simms (analysis) on the call.

Patriots inactives. The Patriots have ruled safety Patrick Chung (foot), offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer (foot/ankle), linebacker Brandon Spikes (knee), running back Shane Vereen (hamstring) and receiver Deion Branch (groin) out for today's game. The team must have two more players declared inactive by 90 minutes before kickoff.
